Description

The Anasounds Savage is a Klon inspired overdrive pedal designed to deliver expressive, harmonically rich drive while retaining the clarity and feel of your original guitar and amplifier. Suitable for everything from blues and classic rock to modern alternative and heavier styles, it works equally well as a transparent boost, an always on tone enhancer, or a medium gain overdrive that cuts confidently through a live mix.

At its core, the Anasounds Savage produces a spacious, open overdrive with harmonics reminiscent of a cranked valve amplifier. The gain structure offers a wide sweep, from light edge of break up and subtle compression through to thick, sustaining saturation. Thanks to its parallel clean and overdrive signal paths, the pedal blends clean tone with driven character, maintaining note definition and low end integrity even at higher gain settings. The mid presence helps solos stand out, while the overall voicing remains warm, articulate and responsive with both single coils and humbuckers, and equally effective on bass when configured accordingly.

The feel under the fingers is dynamic and intuitive. Pick lightly for clarity and chime, dig in for richer saturation and harmonic bloom. The Anasounds Savage reacts naturally to volume knob adjustments, making it easy to move between clean and driven tones without touching the pedal. Whether used to push an already driven amplifier or to add body to a clean platform, it remains controlled, musical and inspiring.

Externally, the Anasounds Savage features three straightforward controls: Level, Tone and Gain. The Gain control adjusts both saturation and the blend between clean and overdriven signals, offering precise control over drive intensity and mix. The Tone control shapes high frequency response and mid character without harsh extremes, allowing everything from darker, rounder sounds to more cutting lead tones. Inside the enclosure, a series of dip switches and trimmers provide further flexibility, including treble focus options, an OD-Bass switch for enhanced low end or mid focus, and selectable silicon or germanium diodes for modern or vintage style clipping. A voicing trimmer adjusts the overall gain structure and response, while a dedicated light trimmer allows you to tailor LED brightness.

The Anasounds Savage retains a vintage electronic structure inspired by the original Centaur concept, while Anasounds has refined the clipping stage, tone circuit, voicing, buffer and output stage for greater flexibility and stability. High quality components, including a Texas Instruments operational amplifier and gold true bypass switching, ensure low noise operation and consistent performance.

Built in France, the Anasounds Savage is housed in a durable die cast aluminium enclosure with a real mahogany faceplate, carefully sanded, varnished and laser etched with the distinctive Centaur design. Emerald mirror plexiglass detailing and a branded illuminated logo give it a unique stage presence, while remaining clear and easy to read under lighting. The adjustable LED indicator makes it simple to see whether the pedal is engaged, even on darker stages.

Gold true bypass switching preserves signal integrity when the pedal is off, and the well designed buffer and output stage maintain clarity when engaged. Top mounted jack sockets make pedalboard placement straightforward, helping keep cable runs tidy and compact.
