Description

The Revv Tilt overdrive is a dual circuit pedal designed with session pro Shawn Tubbs and Revv’s Dan Trudeau. It combines a medium gain amp voiced overdrive and a flexible, sculptable clean boost in one compact, pedalboard friendly unit. Whether you're building a rig around the Tilt or slipping it into your existing signal chain, it brings recording ready tones and expressive responsiveness straight into your hands.

Sonically, the overdrive channel captures the feel and richness of a cranked vintage amp, think edge of breakup dynamics that open up when you dig in. At lower gain levels it cleans up with your guitar’s volume control, and at higher settings it moves into Marshall style overdrive territory while remaining musical and touch sensitive. The EQ is finely tuned: the treble offers huge range beyond midday, and the bass knob actually emphasises low mids without becoming muddy.

Switch over to the clean boost side and you’ve got up to 12 dB of headroom with independent boost and Tilt EQ controls. Tilt EQ lets you blend more lows or highs depending on direction, while the three position Tight switch trims low end selectively, tight, normal or roomy voicing as you need.

Playing the Tilt feels immediate and inspiring. The Revv Tilt overdrive reacts to pick dynamics with crispness and clarity. Holding the drive footswitch for about 1.5 seconds engages both overdrive and boost simultaneously, perfect for lead transitions or switching up quickly on stage. You can also power it up so it's active by default when you turn on your rig.

The Revv Tilt overdrive controls are straightforward and flexible. On the drive side you get Treble, Bass, Gain and Level knobs that deliver clean tonal shaping. The boost side has Boost level and Tilt EQ pots, and the Tight toggle switch for additional voicing. Their ranges are intuitive and musical, nothing exaggerated or gimmicky, just smooth tone control exactly where you need it.

Inside lies an all analogue circuit built from scratch, not based on any other pedal. The drive section is LED clipping but voiced to respond like a valve amp. The boost side features internal 18 V headroom circuitry and silent relay switching between modes. It took over a year of R&D with multiple prototypes and artist input to reach its final form.

The Revv Tilt overdrive’s enclosure is robust and practical. Finished in charcoal blue metallic powder coat with a custom Shawn Tubbs graphic and laser etched signature, the small footprint includes top mounted ¼ inch jacks that save pedalboard real estate.

A conveniently placed blue LED indicator shows when the effect is active, helping you monitor status even on dark stages or rehearsal spaces.

True bypass switching preserves your unprocessed tone when the pedal is off. There’s no colouration or signal loss, just transparent bypass that keeps your original clarity intact.

The DC input sits clearly marked on the side, edge aligned to avoid cable crossing on your board. With silent relay switching and power requirements of 9 to 12 V DC (centre negative, ~35 mA), it's easy to integrate into most powering systems.
